A new generation of studs and stallion owners featured in this year's Canterbury Stud
& Stallion Tour, held last Sunday.
New - or newish - players on the Canterbury breeding scene Slade Farm, Emerald Lodge Stud, Longacres Stud and Goldengrove Stud Farm joined well-established Prebbleton Farm, Manorshire Stud and Selwyn River Stud to parade 13 stallions and some of their progeny for around fifty NZTBA members and guests, from all parts of the South Island, who braved a chilly day, fortified by refreshments generously supplied by the studs.
Here's a selection of photos from the day, kindly supplied by branch member Muriel Archer. (And yes, I'm one of her progeny!)
