Trainers, farriers, vets, stud & stable grooms, studmasters, breeders, equestrians: here's an opportunity to hear the latest information and research on the equine foot from internationally renowned veterinary researcher Professor Chris Pollitt and leading Australian farrier Richard Hansen. This highly experienced and respected team from Queensland, Australia will bring you the latest understanding on the structure of the equine foot, how it functions, the things that can go wrong, and ways that these diseases and injuries can be treated.
In 1997 Chris was inducted into American Farriers International Hall of Fame for his contributions to education on the horse's foot. The same year, he received the RIRDC-Vetsearch Equine Research Award as Equine Researcher of the Year for laminitis studies, and in 2003 received the Pfizer Scientific Award.

About the Bomac Lecture Series
Each year the NZERF organises a series of seminars on topics related to horse health, welfare and performance. Seminars are presented at multiple locations around New Zealand to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to attend.
