Keith & Faith Taylor Equine Scholarship winners Hannah Airey and Laura Macnab have arrived in Ireland and settled into their new surroundings at the Irish National Stud.
Both have completed all the health and safety modules and are now out in the yard rotations.
The are also attending the evening lectures that cover a range of topics.
Before departing they were both looking forward to working in the foaling unit and have since had the opportunity to assist with foalings.
They also attended the Goffs bloodstock sales as part of their ‘pedigree & bloodstock agent’ assignment.
Covering season will begin next week and the girls are looking forward to working with the stallions.
As part of the scholarship requirements both Hannah and Laura will provide monthly blogs covering their time in Ireland and their experience.
