NZTBA executive re-elected for 2006-07


Peter Francis, re-elected President of the NZTBA, 2006-07
At its meeting the day after the NZTBA's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, the Association's Council re-elected Peter Francis, Auckland, for his second year as President.

Mark Chitty, studmaster at Haunui Farm, Auckland, was re-elected as Vice-President; John Thompson, of Rich Hill Stud, Waikato, remains the Treasurer and Peter Hutt, Christchurch, is the fourth member of the Executive. Mr Hutt, a lawyer based in Timaru, is also the NZTBA's nominated director on the board of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.

Mr Francis is a private owner-breeder and owner-manager of Professional Printing & Systems Ltd, Auckland. He has enjoyed Group One sucess with Prussian Blue & Ensign Ewart.

The remainder of the NZTBA Council is also unchanged as councillors up for re-election all chose to stand again, and were re-elected unopposed.
