October Forum for Thoroughbred Trainers/Breeders in the Northern Region

NZTR and ACC will be holding a forum at the Cambridge Jockey Club on Friday 7 October starting at midday.

The forum will run for approximately 2 hours and tea and coffee will be available prior to the forum starting.

The forum is being held as a result of an ongoing project between NZTR and ACC to identify common injuries, look at work practices and training that will assist to reduce the injury rates, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Any overall industry reduction in the injury rate will in turn lead to a reduction in ACC levies.

This is a good chance to come and receive information directly from ACC on a number of issues including:

- An overview of the changes to the Health and Safety at Work Act and how this may affect your business
- Injury Management, return to work & potential financial implications
- Levies, the recent trend and how they are constructed

It is not a forum to debate the recent increase in ACC levies rather a forum to support the reduction and assist you to manage injuries so that levies can be reduced in the future.

Please register your interest with tim.lambert@nzracing.co.nz

If there are a high number of registrations we may need to relocate the forum to a bigger facility in Cambridge.
