Although beginning from barrier stall 13 in a sixteen horse field MISS THREE STARS was able to work over to be three back on the inside running early in the race for Samantha Wynne. This tactic saved valuable ground rounding the home turn, and was very instrumental in her win.

Although challenged strongly by Platinum Command in the closing stages MISS THREE STARS lifted short of the line for a short head victory.
