AUSTRALIA
Australian Stud Book www.studbook.org.au
Well, perhaps it was inevitable that this would become a subscription site, and an annual fee of $A29.95 isn't much to pay for such extensive and regularly updated information. However, the view that Stud Books are paid to distribute as well as collect and store breeding records remains valid.
The new look is easy on the eye and easy to use. And it's still an incomparable on-line resource with complete and regularly updated progeny records for all broodmares in Australia; three-generation pedigrees; horses sent overseas; imported mares; shuttle stallions; historical lists of major race winners in Australia and New Zealand; thoroughbred breeding statistics; and a name availability service.
