Few sports and industries generate more information, every minute, every day, every month and every year than horse racing and breeding. Yet it can be surprisingly difficult to find up-to-date aggregate statistics (for an accurate snapshot of the whole industry) or historical data (to track trends over time).

The NZTBA compiles and maintains statistics about New Zealand breeding & exports, racing and yearling sales, and the historical success of New Zealand-bred horses.
The Association also supports and contributes to research into various aspects of the industry.
