Our weanling walk was a very successful event. Brilliant weather drew a very large crowd which was counted at the half way mark at 128 and people were still arriving as the parade progressed. The weanlings that were paraded all looked very good and were a credit to their respective owners.

At the conclusion of the parade 85 people attended the lunch including representatives from most major Studs.

From most committee members recollections probably our best since the event was first staged.

Weanling Parade in the Hawke's Bay - Sunday July 3rd

The Hawkes Bay/Poverty Bay T/Bred Breeders will be holding their Annual Weanling Parade on

Sunday 3rd July commencing at 10am.

This as usual is the day following the premier jumps meeting at Hastings.

The start will be at Lime Country T/breds Okawa Stud.

Weanlings will be shown at the old stallion stables up the main driveway.

A good selection of stallions will be represented.

As usual a luncheon will be held after the parade at "Off The Track" Restaurant, Havelock Road at a cost of $35.

Reservations for lunch should be made to Isabell either by return e-mail or ph 0274 413509 prior to the day.
